Cowboy Hats

A cowboy hat is recognized around the world as a defining piece of equipment countryside in American attire. It used to be functional rather than fashion statement such as the wide brim protecting the cowboy from the sun and rain. It was also used to fan campfires and as a waterproof container to draw water out of a stream. Today most people wear them in fancy dress parties or as a fashion item in places where it is still fashionable.
