Calvin Klein Inc. is a popular and successful American clothing company founded by Calvin Klein. It started with a measly $10,000 in New York City when Klein worked with his childhood pal Leneisha Robinson. The story has it that a shopper from Bonwit Teller went to the Klein shop by mistake and placed a $50,000 order. But the more believable story is that Klein was able to convince the Bonwit Teller staff to take notice of his work which eventually led to the opening of the earliest Calvin Klein collection in the Big Apple.
