My Experience with Vintage Clothing I can remember whenever I was a teenager growing up in the 60s that I would come home with some fairly unusual looking clothing. Although it was certainly in style at the time, I expected a completely different reaction than what I ended up getting from my mother. Instead of being shocked at how different the clothing was, she would simply let me know that it was similar to something that she wore when she was in high school.
