Cotton is the most sought after clothing material. The textile market is often running low of cotton, because it is so soft and it's a breathable fabric. It is so commonly used in manufacturing dresses, shirts, sweaters, socks, babies' clothing and a lot besides. The leading user of chemical pest control has become the cotton farming industry. Number one problem is pesticide ingestion. Water pollution and damaged soil have been the results of the chemicals used in this way of farming. Obviously the huge volume of chemicals that cotton farmers use creates environmental degradation and human health hazards.
